SET 54: MAN CITY EURO KINGS OF 1970 

A set of 15 colour caricature cards, featuring the European Cup-Winners Cup side of 1970. Those players featured in this set are:- CORRIGAN, BOOK, PARDOE, BOOTH, HESLOP, DOYLE, TOWERS, OAKES, BELL, LEE, YOUNG, BOWYER. Also included are the two men who masterminded City’s triumphs of the late 1960s and early 70s, MALCOLM ALLISON and JOE MERCER. Card 15 is a title card, which features the trophy, as well as the details of the final victory on the front. The reverse side lists all of City’s games in the 1970 tournament.The reverse side of this set gives details of each player’s appearances for City, as well as profiles on both Allison and Mercer. It also includes black and white versions of each caricature.
